Way Overdue

Doesn' t seem possible that I have been so neglectful about updating my Blog...since we have had lots of changes here.

So...here goes.....

Due to the Economy, it wasn't surprising that M & Zee's posted a small loss for CY 2009 but I felt it was more appropriate to take that small bite and not raise any prices for 2009. I'd like to think all of you deserved that.

However...so far 2010 is shaping up beautifully and I have noted a significant upswing, even with having to raise some prices a little this year.

But, for those of you who are regular clients and those who are just taking a peek around...here what we've got going for 2010.

First...we now have the Double Variety Packs for those of you who like to order 5 lbs at a time and the prices of these reflect a nice savings as compared to simply ordering 2 of the 2.5 lb packs. We still have the Bonus special going...all orders are entered into a notebook and for each cumulative 25 lb purchase ( or 10 of the 2.5 lb packs )...you will get one FREE...and this also means FREE SHIPPING.

We now have TWO Grain Free flavors for pets which are grain intolerant. we still have the Vegetable based Morgan's Veggie Delight and the new one Lily Loves a Fruit Harvest...which is a blend of Apples, Pumpkin, Bananas and Blueberries...with just a hint of Cinnamon. I;ve beenm told that the dogs really like getting their fruits in a cookie.

We are also offering a special Happy Birthday Cookie platter....these special cookies spell out your dog's name and also HAPPY BIRTHDAY; each cookie is dipped in a vanilla flavored yogurt coating and gaily decorated. Each platter also comes with 12 medium dipped bone shaped cookies and a special personalized Birthday Card from the sender. These have to be ordered via e-mail as the prices include FREE SHIPPING in the US and the web site ordering is not set up for this option. You can view a sample of this Birthday platter on our site.

We have had some losses and some gains this year....Morgan, my elderly Golden Retriever passed away shortly before Christmas....at the age of 15 years and 5 months...however...her demise was NOT from old age but from a rapidly progressing Canine Lymphoma. Because of Morgan's age, we opted not to pursue more aggressive treatment and instead went the palliative approach and even her vets were amazed that she lived as long as she did after the initial diagnosis in early November. Morgan is still very much missed and it seems odd not to have a Golden Retriever in residence.

On the UP side, also in November 2009,we welcomed Lily into our home. Lily is a pretty little black brindle French Bulldog that I found for adoption on a local Online classified site. Lily has some special needs due to a severe scoliosis but I've never seen a Frenchie with such a determined spirit...she simply does not know the meaning of " I Can't ". She rips up and down our stairs like a hairy little spider and her smoosh face is so endearing. I've always liked French Bulldogs and the first time I met her, I knew she was PERFECT for me.

We also, a few weeks ago, brought in Buttercup...an 8 year old Yellow Labrador ...given to us by a BYB who found her of no use to him any more. She is a real love sponge and no doubt thinks that she's found a special Heaven here with her own wicker basket bed and fluffy pillow and of course , some of the best Raw grub in town. Soon we will have Buttercup's photo for all of you to see our newest special addition.

More to follow and stay tuned for a VERY SPECIAL FUND-RAISER for some very SPECIAL people......
