Do The Doodlebug !!

As just about all of you on Newf-L know, on February 1, 2010, a lovely lady on Newf -L ( Amy ) and her husband ( Kenny ) welcomed little Allyson into this world.

Ally is truly a special baby and is already dear to our hearts...in fact, I had asked if we could all be unofficial Aunties & Uncles.

Ally has some medical issues which thankfully are well on their way to being fully evaluated and with treatment goals set up.... but she will still have some special needs and challenges as she grows and thrives on her family's LOVE and here is where I think we'd all like to be just a small part of her life.

Daddy has some great health insurance but the day-to-day hospital visits and upcoming Outpatient visits since Ally is now home will add to her family's expenses...and these will include visits and evaluations by Specialists as well as Ally's Primary Care providers.

I'd like to propose a not-so-totally "Non-Newf" short-time fund-raiser raffle to help Amy & Kenny out with some of these expenses and thus show Ally's entire family just how special their family is to the extended Newf-L " family"

ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO A SPECIAL ACCOUNT SET UP FOR LITTLE ALLY.

..Already we have some nice prizes donated and I suspect there will be more coming in....so here's your chance to win a nice prize for yourself and your Puppers and also help little Ally.

There will be at least 1 huge prize package and maybe a second prize as well....So far:

and as I said....there may be others coming in which I do not know about yet.

Tickets will be $ 2.00 each or 3 for $ 5.00.

M & Zee's will cover all shipping expenses for the prizes so again...

EVERYTHING COLLECTED GOES STRAIGHT TO ALLY.....

Since I am NOT permitted to take donations via PayPal ( BUMMER ) , tickets will have to be purchased with a check or money order.

You may either make your check out directly to Amy Kistler or if you feel comfortable, leave the Pay To area blank and all checks will be gathered together and forwarded to the Kistlers after the conclusion of this Raffle.

You may, however, e-mail me with the number of tickets you'd like and I will enter you into the spreadsheet and e-mail you back with your tickets numbers .

I will take entries through the month of April and draw the winner(s) on May 1, 2o10. The winner(s) will be e-mailed and asked to confirm their mailing address so their prizes can be shipped out right away.

I hope you will consider participating in this raffle....as I said, it was kind of a spur-of-the moment thing but I think many of you followed Ally's progress on the Caringbridge website which Amy had set up for friends and family and on Facebook...and felt somehow that you really wanted to help out...even in a small way for this tiniest and newest member of the Newf-L family..

In case you are all wondering where the "Doodlebug " thing comes from....this is a very special "pet name" that Ally's family has given her .. I think it suits the little darling.
